We
believe that a high quality child care center must provide a safe,
healthy, and nurturing environment. A high quality center must promote the
development of young children by planning and offering developmental
appropriate practices
(DAP) within our program while
responding to the needs of families. We believe that all of our staff
must be well trained, qualified, supportive, and nurturing.
The majority of our children spend
approximately 9 1/2 hours per day for approx. 252 days at school per year. This constitutes a
major portion of a child’s non-sleeping time during the year.
This center therefore, not only has the
opportunity but also it has a great responsibility to contribute to the
total growth and development of the children. We believe in
understanding and nurturing the range and variety of abilities of our
children so that each child can begin to realize his fullest potential.
Our Goal
To provide the best learning environment through Developmentally
Appropriate Practices (DAP).
Emotional: To nurture each child with love and devotion.
Physical: To provide a variety of equipment, activities, and opportunities
to promote physical development.
Cognitive: To provide activities and opportunities that encourage
curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the
developmental levels and learning of the children.
Communication: To actively communicate with the children to promote literacy and provide opportunities and
support for children to understand, acquire, and use verbal thoughts
and feelings.
Creative: To provide opportunities that stimulate children to play with
sound, rhythm, language, materials, space, and ideas in individual ways
and to express their abilities.
Self: To provide physical and emotional security for each child to
know, accept, and take pride in himself, and to develop a sense of
independence.
Guidance: To help children feel accepted in the group and to get along
with others.
We strive to influence the
learning process by offering creative play and by developing individual
plans that will help children to grow and learn.
